Time Flies

Wow, has it been over a month since I've written. Where did the days/nights go? Hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. It's such a beautiful holiday! A TIME to thankful for all the gifts life offers; the peace of a sleeping child, the love of newlyweds, the passion of your favorite football team, believing in Santa Claus, a hand to hold, a voice to soothe, a touch to remember and a prayer to share. Thank you is the best prayer we can ever say. Thank you for today; soak it in and make a wish on the first star you see tonight. Wishes do come true and dreams are born at this beautiful time of year. jam

Thanksgiving is such a beautiful holiday; where gratitude and love come together. It's in the giving we receive and what a perfect day to open our hearts and share our "buffet of life".

Our traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be on the beach in Rocky Point. We'll welcome family and friends to our Playa Encanto home "case de suenos" (home of dreams).

Take a moment, call someone you've been out of touch with and wish them a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.

Day at the Beach

Plan B felt really good yesterday. Spent the afternoon at our beach home in Playa Encanto (Rocky Point, Mx). How sweet it is! Opening the windows to feel the ocean breezes, putting your feet in the sand and hearing the sounds of the sea felt invigorating. A time of relaxation unplanned and thoroughly enjoyed. Fell asleep with my books surrounding me. The serenity of slowing down, appreciating life and being at peace with the moment at hand. Did you have a Plan B yesterday? Today? How did you accept it, enjoy it, give your best to it? What choices did you make? "All that is gold does not glitter; not all those that wander are lost." J.R.R. Time Goes So Quickly

Would you believe Branden and Reyna were married 4 years ago yesterday in Matape, Mexico? Wow, where did 4 years go? I can see us caravaning from Rocky Point to Matape. What a fun time we had. Shawn flew in from Gardnerville, picked up my Mom in Mesa and was her private driver. The village of Matape was founded in the 1600's and has less than 1,000 residents. Reyna's Dad and friends were butchering the steers when we arrived. It was a scene from a movie. That's how the week-end continued, one scene after another, all with special meanings and giving us incredible memories to last a life time. Can you see them; a rooster crowing at 6:00 AM as the tiny village is coming to life, the plaza being transformed right before our eyes, the church with rose petals on the isle, Branden waiting for his bride (Mexican tradition the grooms family walks to the church first and waits for the bride and her family to arrive), and the fairytale last all night and the next day too. What memories do you reflect on today? Take a minute and feel the joy of days gone by. Be with your treasures. Branden found his "treasure".... Always had a desire to have my very own blog and now it's official. Where's it going to take us? A beginning; to touch lives and stir emotions take a leap of faith and share your dreams. Written by Corey Lester, our grandson, when he was 10 years old: Puerto Penasco......I love a sandy beach in Rocky Point...On a warm and breezy day... When the sun sets... Waves smash... Seguls screech...Winds gust... I see people having fun... Dolphins swimming... White foam waves smash onto the sand...Watching the clouds go by... Playing in the sand... Sleeping on the couch... When I return this summer ...I will feel reborn. Are you there yet? I am! Corey is now 23 and moving to Seattle on the 26th. TIME, it goes so quickly. Slow down, slow down don't go so fast enjoy the moment it will not last. jam living life
